MULTIDISCIPLINARY CLINIC
Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH) hosts the only dedicated multidisciplinary clinic for SATB2-Associated Syndrome (SAS) in the United States. Participants can anticipate undergoing a comprehensive evaluation by ACH’s experienced SAS team. Spaces are limited and are on a first-come, first-serve basis, with priority being given to new patients not previously seen in an official SATB2 clinic. Please note that the waitlist is often over a year long, but signing up is still required to reserve a space. Any openings are pulled from the waitlist. Appointments will include visits with Dr. Yuri Zarate, Genetics; ENT; Speech; Dental; Psychology; Orthodontics; and Audiology (as needed).
CLINIC REGISTRATION INFO
For more information or to be placed on the list for an upcoming clinic, please contact Katie Bosanko, SATB2 Clinic Coordinator with ACH. Arkansas Children’s Hospital will contact families to gather the necessary paperwork to verify insurance coverage. Confirmation of diagnosis will be required if not previously submitted.
ACH will run an insurance pre-authorization for each family. Families will be individually responsible for any financial costs not covered by medical insurance, and will also be responsible for all travel costs. If insurance does not cover the visit and procedures, or only partially covers the visit and procedures, families will be fully responsible for those costs. Families will have the option of cancelling the visit if the costs are higher than they can afford after completion of insurance pre-authorization.

The SATB2 Gene Foundation provides travel grants to families in need and details of these grants are sent directly to registered families prior to each clinic session.
