Please note that confirmation of SATB2-associated syndrome diagnosis is needed to ensure our conference supports our SAS community. If you have not already done so, please submit a copy of your diagnosis via email to Conference@satb2gene.org.
Registration Fees
Early Bird Registration open now through April 30th. Prices will increase by $25 per person starting on May 1st.

- Adult – $99 each
- Children (age 3 – 18) – $49 each
- Age 2 and under – Free
- Virtual Access – $49 each
In-person registration includes a pass to all conference sessions and roundtables, two breakfasts, two lunches, a family social, welcome bag, priority access to all session recordings, access to our livestreaming platform (Zoom Events), and endless networking opportunities with other SAS families (A value of over $300 per person)! Registrations received after Friday, June 14, 2024, will have limited availability and in-person registration will officially close on Monday, July 1st.
A limited amount of financial assistance is available to help offset registration costs. Travel Grant Applications are available at the bottom of this page and open until 5pm ET on April 30, 2024.
Virtual Access and Livestreaming registration will be available via the Zoom Events Platform. Virtual registration includes the ability to view sessions live and have access to the recorded sessions until August 31st – allowing you to go back and watch as often, or whenever, you like through the end of summer! Register now to reserve your spot! Registrations for virtual access must be secured by July 14, 2024 at 9pm EST in order to receive on-demand access. (Please note that unfortunately there are geographic restrictions placed by the Zoom Events platform)
Please note that on Sunday, June 16, 2024 our room block with the Kalahari Resorts and Conventions will expire. Rooms booked after June 16th will not be given our preferred room rate and discounts.
Childcare Registration closes on Friday, June 14th (date subject to change).
Professional Childcare will be provided on-site for a minimal fee of $49 for the first child, and an additional $25 per child after that for BOTH DAYS (a value of over $250 per child). Please note that childcare is provided for ages 3 to 17 years old. There is a capacity limit and if we reach or near that, we will review for priority given to our SAS kids, younger kids, or families traveling as a solo parent. Childcare will be provided in a room near our meeting spaces and provided both days to run the duration of our conference sessions (9am to 3pm, with parents responsible for checking child out for lunch). Our goal is to provide childcare for the duration of the conference sessions on both days to allow our families to fully devote their attention to the important topics. We have hired A Helping Hand, who has experience with special needs children, and are all CPR certified. Our registration form allows you to sign up for childcare at the same time you register for conference. An additional form will be sent via email to complete registration with A Helping Hand separately following conference registration.

The agenda will be packed with useful and informative sessions and will be finalized in a few weeks. Topics will cover a broad range of information for those new to the diagnosis to those with older SAS children. Examples include puberty, behaviors, aging process, AAC therapies, and more.

Sibling Support Session
After our successful Sibling Support Session in Orlando, we are pleased to offer this again! Led by trained SibShop Facilitators, SAS parents and older SAS siblings, we are dedicated to providing an opportunity for our amazing SAS siblings to have time together and meet others and find support for each other. As the typically developing sibling of children with special needs, these unsung heroes will have a time to connect with each other on Thursday afternoon.
Photo and Video Release
The SATB2 Gene Foundation (SGF) will be photographing and video recording parts of the conference. The SGF reserves the right to use any photograph/video taken at any event sponsored by SGF, without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/video. To ensure the privacy of individuals and children, images will not be identified using full names or personal identifying information without written approval from the photographed subject, parent, or legal guardian. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FOUNDATION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR RESERVING A MINIMUM NUMBER OF ROOMS, FAILURE TO NOT USE OUR PROVIDED ONLINE RESERVATION LINK OR TO REFERENCE THE SATB2 GENE FOUNDATION VIA A PHONE RESERVATION, WILL NOT GIVE THE FOUNDATION CREDIT FOR YOUR RESERVATION.

Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your conference registration and do so by June 1, we are able to offer you a full refund, minus credit card process fees, for your conference registration. If you need to cancel your conference registration on June 2 or later, we are not able to offer you a registration refund.
COVID-19 Cancellation Policy
If you have a late cancellation due to COVID-19, please send a written request and proof of positive test to conference@satb2gene.org. Registration refunds will be issued within two (2) weeks after the conclusion of the Family Conference minus credit card processing fees. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our attendees safe by staying home if sick. All hotel room reservations must be handled with the hotel directly.
Travel Grant Scholarships
We understand that attending the conference in person may pose a financial challenge for some families. To alleviate this burden, we are accepting applications for financial assistance for travel costs. Applications close at 5pm ET on April 30, 2024.
