August 22nd is a day that not only brings all of us together – but it helps to bring others into our world. As of this month, our SAS community is nearly 650 families strong! But there are likely more individuals that have yet to be diagnosed, and it’s our awareness efforts this month that could help them find an answer sooner. We also hope our efforts shine a brighter spotlight on our SAS community and motivate interest and passion in our cause, enabling us to advance critical research that could bring us closer to one day having treatments for our SAS children. The thing is: we need YOUR help to get there!
Why August 22nd?
August 22 was chosen to help honor our primary genetic researcher who has not only brought all of us together but has also brought much-needed research to this rare condition. On August 22 we not only celebrate awareness to SATB2, but also help celebrate and honor Dr. Yuri Zarate on his birthday! All donations during the month of August go directly to accelerate SATB2 research!
